What's New On Ithaca Greece
May 2018
Sunday 13th - The weather has been quite changeable these past couple of weeks. Sometimes sunshine, sometimes not. Today is unfortunately looking like a 'Not' day.
Below - Yesterday, the sky was mostly blue and the sunshine was warm and friendly.
Above - The vines around the island look hopeful we'll have a great harvest of grapes this year. Healthy, lush looking vines. Grapes for eating and for making some potent local wines.
Last night was the 2nd performance for Kostas Mourselas satire, Oh What A World Father by Ithaca's own Forkys Theater Group. Click Here or on photograph below for more images of this play.
Below - Lizzy's in Kioni has started offering Sunday brunch. Now they have the interior ready inside the restaurant, it makes a perfect place for some eggs and bacon with a view of Kioni Bay.
Tuesday 15th - It's that time of year when we get to meet new visitors to Ithaca Greece. Big smiling and friendly faces. Always great to see.
Wednesday 16th - Rain yesterday and maybe a little today. May can be a bit changeable but I can't remember it this changeable.
Sunday 20th - I've been away for a few days, but now it's full steam ahead for the coming season. Ithaca all the way, Ithaki ALL the way.
In some exciting news for hikers and nature lovers, 53 kilometers of trails have been cleared and sign posted around Ithaca. There are still many more to do, but what a good start this is!
Monday 21st - Weekends are usually quiet as far as visitors are concerned, especially in the villages, but that's not to say we're not buzzing at other times of the week. Things are beginning to buzz around ithaca greece.

Ithaca Greece in Summer
Sunday 13th
Tuesday 15th - We love delicious figs. The trees seem to be abundant with them this year.
Wednesday 16th - With more Flotillas and Day Trippers coming into Ithaki's ports, we are having busier times, but inbetween it's as sleepy as winter.
Monday 21st - It's warming up. Umbrellas protecting from the sun, not the rain.
